Is there any charge for a Shabbat meal in Tiberias? +
No. Shabbat meals through Hachnasat Orchim are a community mitzvah performed out of love for fellow Jews and in honor of Rabbi Meir Baal HaNess. There is never any fee, payment processing, or advertisement.
What happens if my travel plans change and I cannot attend? +
Please cancel your reservation via the website as early as possible so that hosts do not prepare unneeded food. When a reservation is canceled, the seat slot is permanently retired to ensure atomic accuracy and protect host preparations.
How do hosts receive guest details? +
Guest registration information is kept strictly private. Hosts do not receive public profiles. Once a registered guest claims an available seat, the system creates the allocation and shares contact details so both parties can coordinate before Shabbat candle lighting.
How does weekly recurring hosting work? +
Households that register as weekly hosts automatically have their agreed number of seats generated as fresh individual slots for each upcoming Shabbat. Occasional hosts are only activated when they explicitly confirm availability.
